CHECKLIST FOR CUNY &  MACAULAY HONORS

     CUNY Application Checklist:


     1.  Complete the CUNY application online at www2.cuny.edu/admissions/undergraduate/. Remember, you must register for a CUNY Portal Account before you begin the application. You are applying for Undergraduate Admissions, and using the General Freshman Application.

     2. Your transcript from Saint Demetrios will be mailed to CUNY.

     3.  If you attended another high school (for 9th, 10th, or 11th grade) , you must send a hard copy of that transcript to CUNY through the mail, attached to the Document Return Receipt.  (You may request a copy of this transcript from your guidance counselor if you do not have one).

     4.  If you are applying to any four-year colleges, you must take the SAT and have your scores sent to CUNY/UAPC, either directly from the College Board  or by sending a copy of your paper score report, which must be attached to the Document Return Receipt.

     5.  The $70.00 application fee may be paid online using a credit or debit card, OR may be mailed to CUNY/UAPC in the form of a check or money order. If you are mailing a payment, be sure to attach it to the Application Fee Receipt form. Make your check or money order payable to CUNY/UAPC, and be sure to write your CUNY application number (the “W” number) on it. Remember, CUNY will not process your application until your payment has been received.

    REMINDER:  YOUR CUNY APPLICATION SHOULD BE SUBMITTED (AND ALL NECESSARY MATERIALS SENT) BY DECEMBER 1st.

     CUNY Macaulay Honors College Checklist:

     1.  Complete the application online at https://macaulay.cuny.edu/admissions/admissions-requirements/. You must register for a CUNY Portal Account before you begin the application. Remember, you may NOT submit both a Macaulay Honors application and a General Freshman application. You must do one OR the other.

     2.  If you attended a high school (for 9th, 10th, or 11th grade) other than Saint Demetrios High School, you must send a hard copy of that transcript through the mail, attached to the Document Return Receipt (you may request a copy of this transcript from your guidance counselor if you do not have one).

     3.  You must send your SAT scores to CUNY/UAPC, either electronically through the College Board (by inputting the code 2950), or by mailing a hard copy of your score report directly to CUNY/UAPC. This report must be attached to the Document Return Receipt.

     4.  You must indicate the names and email addresses of the teachers who will be submitting letters of recommendation on your behalf. Macaulay Honors College requires that these letters be sent electronically, so please notify your teachers ahead of time that they will be asked to complete their recommendation online.

     5.  All essays must be uploaded and submitted online.

     THE DEADLINE FOR APPLYING TO MACAULAY HONORS COLLEGE IS DECEMBER 1st. THIS MEANS THAT ALL REQUIRED MATERIALS, AS WELL AS THE APPLICATION FEE, MUST BE IN BY THAT DATE. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS! DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE!
